The Mucker Network consists of more than 200 of the best, brightest, and most generous entrepreneurs, executives, and investors from Southern California and Silicon Valley.  They have all graciously volunteered to mentor and advise Mucker entrepreneurs by offering their time, experience, and networks.   In addition to spending time one-on-one with founders, they also hold office hours, roundtable discussions, and instructional sessions at Mucker’s office in Santa Monica.

Eugene Mandel Senior Data Engineer, Jawbone

Eugene Mandel is currently the Senior Data Engineer at Jawbone. He was previously the CTO of CatchFree, an online service that makes it easy to find the best free solution for anything from streaming music to managing projects online. CatchFree was founded by Sean Ellis, and funded by Polaris Ventures, True Ventures, Index Ventures and First Round Capital. Prior to CatchFree, Eugene was co-founder of MustExist, a social media curation service for websites. Previously, Eugene was co-founder and chief architect of jaxtr.  Jaxtr links your phone to the Web, so you can hear from callers worldwide while keeping your existing phone number private and so you can call people anywhere in the world directly from your mobile without paying expensive international toll charges.  Before jaxtr, Eugene was a Software Engineer at Trovix and Sr. Software Engineer at FaceTime Communications. He holds a BS in computer science from Technion-Machon Technologi Le' Israel.

Eva Ho VP Marketing & Operations, Factual

Eva Ho is the VP of Marketing & Operations for Factual, a technology start-up in Los Angeles focused on open data. She co-founded Navigating Cancer and Whole Child LA, and sits on the board of First Descents and Iridescent. She was a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Google and YouTube. Prior to Google, she was the head of marketing for Applied Semantics, a company that was sold to Google in 2003. Additional past employers include The Wilkerson Group, Procter & Gamble and IBM. She holds an MBA from the Cornell University as well as an AB in Biology from Harvard University.

Eyal Gutentag GM, Uber Los Angeles

Eyal Gutentag is a seasoned marketing executive with extensive digital marketing and analytics experience. He is currently the General Manager at Uber. Previously he was the Director of User Acquisition at NFL Digital Media, National Football League and later was promoted as the VP of User Acquisition & Business Intelligence. Eyal was also the co-founder of several companies, including DKSS, a leading online eyewear retailer, Primafuel, a renewable fuels technology and infrastructure company, and Prepaid Ventures, which launched distribution of Internet subscriptions in big box retailers. Eyal obtained his BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley and later received his MA in Computing, Communication and Technology in Education from Columbia University.

Eytan Elbaz Co-Founder, Scopely

Eytan Elbaz is currently the Co-founder of Scopely and of Deep Dive Media. He previously served as Google's Head of Domain Channel from April 2003 through September 2007. Prior to Google, Eytan was Vice President and founding member of Applied Semantics (formerly Oingo), which was later acquired by Google. At Oingo, Eytan conceived the ideas for applying the company's meaning-based technology towards domain name selection and monetization, and towards contextual targeting, launched as Oingo AdSense in 2000. Eytan lives in Los Angeles where he graduated UCLA with a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering in 1995.

Gallant Chen VP Digital Marketing, Zendesk

Gallant Chen is currently the VP of Digital Marketing at Zendesk, a customer service platform designed to bring organizations and their customers closer together. He was previously the Director of Online Marketing at SurveyMonkey and was responsible for driving online customer acquisition and conversion activities including paid search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), display advertising, retargeting,  etc.. Before SurveyMonkey, he was the Product Marketing Manager at Apple, and later served as the Web Marketing Manager. Before Apple he was the private equity associate at Evercore Partners from 2001 to 2002, and was the product manager at Business.com from 2000 to 2001. Gallant graduated from Stanford University with a BS in Industrial Engineering and later obtained his MBA in Marketing, Technology Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.

Gene Chuang Chief Technology Officer, Synctree

Gene Chuang is the Chief Technology Officer for Synctree, Inc. He was previously the CTO of Oversee.net and has been a technologist at Los Angeles companies including Yahoo!, AT&T Interactive, YP Mobile, Chegg, Overture, GoTo.com and Wilshire Associates. Gene contributes to the LA tech community as mentor at Muckerlab and Launchpad LA, tech advisor to Laudville and GoTokki, and actively involved in Innovate Pasadena, LA Ruby Conference and LA Java User Groups. He strongly believes in mentorship as his mentors include Brian Acton co-founder of WhatsApp, Joseph Essas CTO of Opentable, Qi Lu President of Bing and David Henke SVP of Ops of LinkedIn. Gene received a BS in Biochemistry from UCLA, a former pre-med who failed to get into medical school resulting in his first pivot into Internet startups. He feels his greatest accomplishment is raising his three kids right and keeping his wife of 12 years happy.

Geoff Yang Founding Partner, Redpoint Ventures

Geoff Yang is a Founding Partner of Redpoint Ventures. Prior to founding Redpoint, Geoff was a general partner with IVP, a firm he joined in 1987. Geoff emphasizes investments in consumer media and infrastructure. His media and advertising investments include Ask Jeeves, Excite, MySpace and TiVo. His networking investments include BigBand, Calix, Foundry Networks, Juniper Networks, MMC Networks and Wellfleet. He currently serves on the Board of BigBand Networks (BBND) and several privately-held company boards including Branchout, Bluefin, Clicker (recently acquired by CBS), Fanfare (recently acquired by Spirent), Formspring, Gaia Online, Gravity, Machinima, Oodle and Scribd. In addition, Geoff was founding director or previously led investments in Agile Networks, Applied Digital Access, Centillion, Collabra, Crescendo, Golfweb, JotSpot, Netcore Systems, Netlink, Promatory, Rapid City, Shasta Networks and Whitetree. Geoff is currently on the Advisory Council for the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and previously served on the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC) as well as a Director of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) and President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC). Prior to joining IVP, Geoff was an Associate with First Century Partners and a Marketing Rep. at IBM Corp. Geoff holds a B.S.E. in Engineering and Management Systems from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

George Ishii Startup Advisor

George Ishii is currently a startup advisor who helps startups succeed in areas such as user experience design, analytics driven design, and product management. He co-founded several companies including BetterWorks, an employee benefits SAAS platform, Geni, an online family tree building platform with 100M+ profiles (acquired by MyHeritage), and Yammer, a private social network that helps employees collaborate across departments, locations, and business apps (acquired by Microsoft). George is specialized in social entrepreneurship, early stage startups, user centered design, interface design, user flow design, etc.. He graduated from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona with a BS in Computer Engineering.

George Leimer VP Fantasy Sports and Premium Products, ESPN

George Leimer has over 20 years of experience in functional and general management of technology companies. He is currently the VP of Fantasy Sports and Premium Products at ESPN. Previously he was the director of online store merchandising at Apple, and co-founded planfortytwo, inc. in 2011. He spent five years (1999 - 2005) working at Half.com, an eBay Company as its VP of Operations and later spent another two years at eBay as its Senior Director. George is skilled in E-commerce and Strategic Partnerships and obtained his BS in Management, MIS Concentration from Widener University.

Gilles Marchand COO, Bridg

Before joining Bridg as COO in 2013, Gilles was the Co-Founder and VP of Product for Nimble, a web-based technology company backed by investors such as Google Ventures and Mark Cuban. He was responsible for translating the overall company vision into product reality and assembling a team to realize that vision. He was also the Product Manager at Magnify360, a behavioral targeting platform named “Hot Company” by Forrester Research in 2008. During his time at Magnify360 he was responsible for defining the product vision, helped optimize the online marketing, and led acquisition strategy of the company’s largest accounts including Microsoft, Intuit, Citrix, Seagate and AutoDesk. Gilles received his master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2006.

Gina Anastasi Former COO, LeadPoint and Rent.com

Gina is the Founder and President of Gina Anastasi, Inc., which provides advisory services to companies at all stages of development. She was the COO at Rent.com. During her 6 years there, she led the company through a major restructuring and growth of revenue from $2MM to $60MM with 30% profit margins.

As COO of LeadPoint, a lead exchange company, Gina restructured and rebuilt the organization resulting in the company shifting from a significant burn per month to becoming profitable during her 3-year tenure.

At Oasis Residential, a NYSE apartment REIT with 13,000 apartments and 550 employees and $60MM in annual NOI, asVP of Operations for 3 years, she led a major, comprehensive internal cultural shift and external marketing positioning change that resulted in over $1MM net profit annually in a very soft market. The company was acquired in 1998 for $1B.

At Southmark Pacific, a real estate development company, Gina was a Senior VP instrumental in growing the company from$25MM in assets to $850MM in less than 6 years. Among other responsibilities, including marketing/sales, asset management, project management and JV liaison, she was the right hand to the President in the expansion of the executive team.

Gina also held a C-level executive with UberMedia, an Idealab company in its early formation providing executive coaching and operational guidance on building a successful culture.

Gina serves as an Advisor to The Hub LA and served 8 years on the Board of Directors of WISE Senior Services, two years as President. Gina also served as a Fulfillment Fund mentor for 5 years. She holds an Interdepartmental BA in Urban Studies from Stanford University and a MA in Spiritual Psychology.

Glen Friedman Co-Founder & Partner, Jackpot Partners

Glen Friedman is the Co-Founder & Partner at Jackpot Partners, a leading boutique licensing agency focused on bringing leading brands to the casino gaming industry. He has also been the Founder and President at Ideas & Solutions! Inc. for the past 20 years. He advise companies large and small on how to make more money and get their mojo back. From startups to huge conglomerates - such as AT&T, Bluefin Labs, Fox, Rentrak and Omnicom - his insights into marketing and business strategies have been crucial to financial success. Glen received his BA in Business from Babson College.

Greg Isaacs Digital Media Executive, ABCmouse.com

Greg Isaacs is currently the Digital Media Executive at ABCmouse.com. Previously he led product marketing & acquisition initiatives as a Vice President at NFL.com. Before NFL, Greg was VP and GM for AT&T Interactive’s flagship destination - YP.com - a top 30 Comscore property. Greg also was named CNN/Business 2.0’s “50 People Who Matter” for his ground breaking work as the the head of eBay’s developer program and API platform. Greg is a graduate of Brandeis University and the London School of Economics with a Bachelor of Arts. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Greg Liberman Ex-CEO, Spark Networks

Greg Liberman is currently an Advisory Board Member at DriverSquare, a technology startup that focused on developing and delivering disruptive new technology to local businesses with new solutions to traditionally difficult problems to solve.

Greg was appointed Spark’s Chief Executive Officer in 2011 and Chairman of the Board in 2013 after having previously served as its President, Chief Operating Officer and, originally, as General Counsel when he joined the company in 2004. Before formally entering the digital media, mobile, subscription, marketing and relationship-building world at Spark, he served in a variety of senior legal and corporate development roles at publicly-traded technology companies after beginning his professional career as an attorney in the Corporate & Securities Group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in San Francisco.

Greg holds a BA, with Honors and University Distinction, from Stanford University; a JD, with Honors, from The Law School at the University of Chicago, where he also served as student body president; and completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.

Gregory Kim is currently the Chief Revenue Officer and General Manager for Mobile at Slickdeals. Previously Kim served as Head of Marketing & Corporate Development at Savings.com, the leading destination for deals and coupons. Prior to Savings.com, Greg served as SVP, Strategy & Corporate Development at People Media where he built a global leader in niche dating and sold the company to Match.com in July 2009. Prior to People Media, Greg helped build LowerMyBills.com into the leading lead generation platform in home loans, education and insurance. During his tenure, LowerMyBills.com grew from $10 million to $250 million in revenues in three years and the company was sold to Experian. Prior to LowerMyBills.com, Greg was an investment banker with Houlihan Lokey. Greg earned his M.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance from The Anderson School at UCLA, and graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics.

Hamet Watt Entrepreneur and Investor

Hamet is a serial entrepreneur of multiple ventures. He founded notable startups such as NextMedium and MoviePass and He is currently an E.I.R. at True Ventures. At NextMedium, Hamet raised 2 rounds of venture capital with Ascend Venture Group, Globespan Capital Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Newport Coast Investments and sold the company in 2007.

Hamilton Chan Founder & CEO, Paperlinks and PayDragon

Hamilton has almost a decade of experience in designing effective marketing and communications solutions for clients, including Westin, Paramount, Johnson & Johnson and ESPN. He has done this through the vehicle of his family business, Charlie Chan Printing, which has been providing high-end commercial printing solutions for businesses in Southern California since 1969. Hamilton's journey from a prestigious corporate background to passioned entrepreneurship was well chronicled by Los Angeles Magazine. Hamilton graduated phi beta kappa and magna cum laude with highest honors from Harvard University. He is also a graduate of Harvard Law School. He has worked as an investment banker at JP Morgan, a corporate attorney at Munger, Tolles & Olson, and a business affairs executive at MGM. Despite these corporate sojourns, Hamilton has found true expression for his love of technology, marketing and creativity in Paperlinks.

Hanoz Gandhi Chief Analytics Officer and EVP Strategy, Creative Channel Services

Hanoz has worked in the B2C space at small and large companies like, Bose, Citigroup, Belkin, Omnicom and CreativeChannel.   He's helped launch entirely new lines of business, products and distribution within these companies, led M&A strategy as well build and grow successful teams from 0 to 2000+.   He's currently built out an entire Analytics Practice for Omnicom, where he helps clients extract value from the reams of data they collect - applying simple visualizations to more advanced modeling, ML algorithm development and the application of AI.

Helene Dina Principal, HD Consulting

Helene Dina is currently the Principal at HD Consulting, which provides consulting for business growth strategy, partnership development, market launch planning, product planning, distribution and strategic financial & relations counsel to entertainment, Internet, social media and consumer products companies. She was previously the VP of Investor Relations at The Walt Disney Company, and was the VP of Digital Media & Development at Disney ABC Television Group before that. Helene graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Economics and later graduated from Harvard Business School.
